Visual kei band Ap(r)il have made a sudden announcement that their one-man on December 18th will be the last one with the current line-up. Drummer You, who had only joined the band this year, will be leaving Ap(r)il after this live.
On his blog, You states that although being in Ap(r)il he had the most fun in his music career, he could not accept the differences between his wishes about the future and how his life as a member of a band was progressing. He mentioned that he is not comfortable with promotional aspects of being a in a band such as photoshoots and instore events, and states that from now on he wants to be a drummer rather than a band member, and he will continue doing his best in this role.
The band has been discussing this matter and have finally come to the conclusion that You's departure would be the best decision for the future of Ap(r)il. They apologise for this sudden announcement and ask their fans to continue supporting Ap(r)il and You from now on.
