Musician Responses to Natural Disasters

Various musicians have started fundraising for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on March 11th. GACKT has started a fund raising campaign called SHOW YOUR HEART to which money can be donated for the victims. GACKT states that even though some things cannot be achieved alone, when moving together a great power can be achieved. Various artists have joined him with the SHOW YOUR HEART project. Nishikawa Takanori, also known as T.M.Revolution will be holding a charity live for the victims of the earthquake on March 30. Also girugamesh has stated that they will be raising money for the victims during each concert.

A large number of musicians have expressed their concerns on their home pages, blogs and Twitter accounts. As a result of the earthquake and uncertain electricity issues, many concerts have been cancelled or postponed to later dates.
